Dylan Keppel - Mark 7 Shooting Team

Dylan Keppel -
Mark 7 Reloading Shooting Team

Background

My name is Dylan Keppel, and I’m 27 years old. I’m a passionate and ambitious Dutch IPSC shooter with the ultimate goal of becoming one of the most successful competition shooters in Europe—and beyond. Let me introduce myself briefly.

I first stepped onto a shooting range with my father at the age of 14, back in 2011. By 15, I was already competing in IPSC matches. My father and I traveled across Europe to shoot in competitions, giving me valuable international experience early on. It didn’t take long for me to discover both my passion and talent for the sport. Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to mastering my skills and making IPSC a core part of my life.

Over the years, I’ve competed in various divisions, but I found my true passion in Optics. I currently shoot in both the Open and Production Optic divisions—fast, dynamic, and exactly the kind of challenge that drives me.

My partner, Cheyenne, shares the same passion. She’s a dedicated IPSC shooter and the current Dutch Ladies Champion. Together, we travel across Europe, competing in around 20 matches a year. We’re on a mission to become world champions, and we are both fully committed to that goal.

Currently, I hold the title of National Champion of the Netherlands and have secured multiple Level 3 wins over the past few years. (You can see a list of my recent achievements below!)

I train 3 to 4 times a week and shoot over 50,000 rounds annually. Balancing training and work comes naturally to me. My job as a salesman for Tarkett-Desso in the flooring industry provides the flexibility to focus on shooting and traveling. I also prioritize my physical fitness with regular gym and conditioning sessions to stay sharp and competition-ready.

Becoming World Champion is my ultimate goal—and I’m building toward it every single day. A key factor in my performance is the quality of my ammunition. Reloading on a Mark 7 press with Geco components gives me the best ammo possible—reliable, accurate, and consistent. The combination of American engineering from Mark 7 and German precision from Geco creates a match-winning formula. It’s a game-changer and will help me achieve my goal of becoming World Champion.

I look forward to seeing you on the range soon. Feel free to ask about my setup or talk shooting anytime!

What You Reload On and Why?

For years, I reloaded all my ammunition by hand. As a dedicated IPSC shooter competing at the highest levels, I regularly shot over 75,000 rounds a year. Reloading by hand was not only time-consuming but also physically demanding. Spending hours pulling the handle on my old press began to take its toll. I could feel the strain building in my shoulders and wrists, and I knew it was only a matter of time before I risked a serious injury. Something had to change.

I started exploring options to automate my reloading process, hoping to find a solution that would save time and protect my body. My first step was adding an autodrive to my existing press. While this reduced the physical effort, I quickly realized I was still missing key features—such as precision, smooth operation, and better control over the process. That’s when I took a closer look at the Mark 7 Apex 10.

What immediately stood out about the Apex 10 was its combination of cutting-edge technology and reliability. It was purpose-built for serious shooters who demand consistency and speed, and it checked every box I was looking for. The integrated sensors, smooth indexing, and overall precision gave me a level of confidence I had never experienced with my previous setup. Reloading became faster, more efficient, and, most importantly, consistent—allowing me to focus on training and competing rather than worrying about my ammo.

Switching to the Mark 7 Apex 10, along with its autodrive system, has made a huge difference in my reloading capabilities. What used to be a physically exhausting process has now become streamlined and automated, giving me back valuable time and saving my body from further wear and tear. I’m now producing match-grade ammunition at a pace and quality that matches my ambitions. For me, the Mark 7 Apex 10 wasn’t just an upgrade—it was a game-changer.
